Ron, whiski o lo que sea. Piensa que alli el alcohol es carisimo, y que en las barras solo venden cerveza y vino. Hay unas barras especiales donde venden combinados pero muy caros y apenas llevan nada.

Why do they play in the afternoon?
We answer some of the most recurrent comments to this year's band schedule.
One of the most busy days on our website is when we announce the band schedule. People wait anxiously throughout the spring to find out whether their favourite bands are playing at the same time. And even though many people are excited and can breathe a sigh of relief on this day, we will always disappoint some.

The coincidences may be due to necessities in the respective bands' tour plans. Other times, Roskilde Festival's audience are simply (and thank god for that) so genre-unfaithful and broadly oriented that some experience our aim at spreading out the music as a collision of their chosen favourites.

We have experienced a very positive reception of this year's programme. Yet, comments and criticism are bound to follow. Here are answers to some of the most recurrent feedback.

Why does Faith No More play already at 17.00 on Friday?

Many probably remember that Faith No More was not announced until after the release of our poster – even though we had negotiated with the band since last autumn. When we could finally announce that Faith No More would be joining our programme, all other slots on the Orange Stage on Friday were already taken. Faith No More would – admittedly – be fantastic in the dark – but on the other hand, we cannot imagine any better band to kick off Friday's programme on the Orange Stage.

Why can't all metal bands play at night?

Since we are located in Scandinavia with the long and bright summer nights, Roskilde Festival has only few slots after nightfall. However, this has not kept many metal bands from making darkness rule inside the stage tents at their concerts. Since we want to spread out our metal bands as much across an entire day as all other genres – we will unavoidably have some bands playing early in the afternoon.

Why does Swedish rapper Petter open the Orange Stage? Is it not supposed to be a Danish artist?

We want to open the Orange Stage in different ways. No one has decided that it has to be a promising Danish rock band that kicks off the festival. With Petter, we a taking the opening concert in a third direction compared to recent years' openers Teitur and Volbeat. Breaking with traditions and taking things in new directions form part of what we want to be known for.

As to other Swedish acts on the Orange Stage, Swedish music will always be a natural part of Scandinavia's largest music festival. An artist such as Håkan Hellström is not booked because he is Swedish. He is playing because with him on the biggest stage we can expect a splendid party. We have seen him deliver that several times before at Roskilde Festival.

Why does Malk De Koijn play at the same time as Deadmau5?

We try our best not to let concerts collide that can attract the same audience. We were aware that Malk De Koijn and Deadmau5 could be seen as an unfortunate overlap. But music programming is the art of the possible – and we have had to accept putting the Danish hip hoppers opposite the international house act. It is reported, however, that both acts will play long sets – so if one cannot or will not choose, there is a great chance of catching great bits of both concerts.

Habra que buscar otra excusa entonces para tajarse el domingo (cosa que solo he hecho los dos ultimos años, por otra parte, en 2006 no bebi ni una gota de alcohol en todo el festi por temas medicos, y los dos años anteriores pues la cosa fue mas normal).
